Tour the art galleries on 12th Street and take a drive through the town to see the historic Frank English built homes and many National Register of Historic Properties buildings. Visit Valley of Fires Recreation Area. Wait until dark to look up to see the stars like you’ve never seen them. Then sleep in one of our motels and wake up in the cradle of the mountains that ring this raw and beautiful place.
Events and Activities
Relax on Carrizozo Rock and Roll Museum’s outdoor patio and enjoy music by local musicians and a beer brewed in nearby historic Lincoln. Bonito Valley Brewing Company is a small, independent microbrewery and has garnered a following of those who appreciate outstanding offerings in an authentic Western setting. Also, come out for the last disc golf qualifier of the LOE State Championship Series-Finale to be played at Disc-O-Zozo off of HWY 380 as you come into Carrizozo. Family can enjoy the events in town while players battle it out on the high plains course.
